From big brother to little sisters
So President Obama has been quoted as claiming in a conference call with rabbis that "we are God's partners in matters of life and death." Reported how? As Mickey Kaus points out, the reporting came from the live Twitter feed of one of the rabbis involved in the call, and that rabbi has now deleted the tweet. As I mentioned earlier, during the campaign, the explosion of peer-to-peer outlets, what Castells calls mass self-communication, means that nothing is private anymore - but as we can see in this instance, it also means that anything can be published, and absent recorded evidence, it's very difficult to verify.

I'm a little behind in promoting my SXSWi panel due to a recent trip. Please consider voting for it!
What happens when people can work anywhere - home offices, coffee shops, libraries, coworking spaces? With mobile computing, telecommunications, and broadband, knowledge workers are choosing new work arrangements and self-organizing in looser, more transient arrangements. We'll discuss these broad trends and what they mean for work, using coworking as a specific example.
