Conducting qualitative research "unscientifically"

UIE Brain Sparks has a pointer to a series by Leisa Reichelt about "accepting the unscientific qualities of qualitative research, and using qualitative research as a flexible way to gather rich and insightful information about your intended audience." They provide a brief conversational apologia for qualitative research, which probably won't convince skeptics but which are interesting anyway.
